We’re reading a lot about basket and checkout abandonment lately. In fact, we’ve been reading the same things now for 3 or 4 years – seems like it’s a very popular topic.
It also seems that the advice largely falls on deaf ears, or that technological constraints mean people can’t actually change what they have in place because the average abandonment across the web is still over 50%.
We feel we can speak from a fairly authoritative position, having had a firm eye on this one for a number of years.
We're continually testing and reiterating our basket and checkout, and as a result have clients with completion stats more than twice the average.
There’s no one silver bullet, but we thought we’d list a few things we know to be successful in helping the cause.
