The newly designed Bridge55 website went live in September 2008, giving a whole new look and feel to the business’s online shop. The owners were looking to take the business to a new level after feeling the limitations of their current low budget, out of the box website solution, but were also concerned that the drop in Google ranking necessarily brought about by a redesign might be a long lasting one.

All fears were soon put into perspective; from the moment the owners saw the designs for the new site they realised they were in extremely good hands. Bridge55.com has since been featured in an acclaimed design gallery and is widely regarded as being one of the best looking e-commerce sites around, let alone in the men’s designer clothing sector.

Results-wise, the new site sells almost 15 times what the old site did; this improvement brought about by the redesign only, with further improvements expected when conversion testing is phased in during 2009/10. Attention to detail and a design and development process with a strong focus on the needs of the end user has seen conversion rise tremendously. From an SEO perspective too, the initial fears of the business owners have been turned into delight – ranking even higher than before on page 1 of Google within one month, and for some competitive, generic terms too – such as ‘men’s designer clothing’ and G-Star clothing’.
