The Specs Factory e-commerce website was a slow-burner: the high street business took off so well that it had to be put on the back burner for a while, which actually played out well because it was the first site to be launched on the new Aurora 2.0 – albeit a slightly ‘lite’ version.

It features a product ‘Quick Look’ facility so the user can see basic product details, and even add to basket without going to a product page. Faster, less arduous browsing makes for happy users. In the same vein, there’s a colour change facility too, which can be utilised on the product view page without going to the product page.

Promotions will mirror the high street stores, mainly along the lines of BOGOF’s and will be easily set up and monitored in Aurora 2.0.

The task now is to build up traffic to the site and then work on conversion testing when the numbers are good enough.
